COVID -19 Protocols
At Smiles Of Punta Gorda, our dental professionals have always utilized the highest level of precautions and sterilization protocols to CDC and OSHA guidelines and have comprehensively re-examined our systems and procedures concerning Covid-19 guidelines. Here’s what you can expect at our dental office:
- Screening all staff and patients upon arrival daily with temperature checks and health questions.
- Social distancing rules in place in the office
- One-way patient traffic in the office
- All staff wearing surgical masks when in the office
- All patients wearing masks in the office
- Patients using peroxide oral pre-rinse before the appointment
- Decreased paper handling in the office
- Scheduling a low volume of patients in the office at one time
- Barriers in reception and treatment areas
- Hydroclorous acid spray/fogging of high-touch areas in the office at regular intervals with spot treatments throughout the day as needed
- Enhanced surface disinfection of touch surfaces the whole day by our staff
- All instruments used with patients were sterilized with an autoclave (steam sterilization) with each cycle monitored and documented in logged records.
