Subject: Smiles of Punta will resume business May 11, 2020

We hope this email finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing at Smiles of Punta Gorda has remained the same: our constant commitment to your safety.

As you have surely seen during your visits to our office, infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our strict processes have consistently made the care you receive at Smiles of Punta Gorda both safe and comfortable.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We continue to closely monitor the recommendations of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

When it is time for your next appointment, you may see some changes along with our already strict infection control protocols. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you ahead of your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive at the office.
  • Upon arrival at office, we ask that you call or text to let us know you have arrived and what type of vehicle you are in.  Stay in your vehicle and one of our team members will come to bring you in for treatment.
  • When entering the office, we will ask you to use hand sanitizer which we will supply. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. You are required to bring a mask/face covering to wear while you are in our office.
  • You may see that our reception area will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and other items which cannot be properly disinfected. You are encouraged to bring your own iPad, reading materials, etc.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered slightly limited options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the office at any one time.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 941-787-2223 or visit our website at www.smilesofpuntagorda.com.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends in the safest way possible.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Martin DMD,
Christopher Ramke DMD,
and your Smiles of Punta Gorda team

Love Your Smile with Cosmetic Dentistry

February 1, 2018
Brunette Hair woman with yellow and brown eyes smiling | Smiles of Punta Gorda

Has your relationship with your smile lost its spark? Are you yearning for the bright, flawless, beautiful pearly whites of your youth?

It’s February, which means love is in the air. And we can help you fall back in love with your smile once again.

Life happens. We get it. Teeth get chipped, cracked, worn down. Over the years, you drink coffee and soda and eat foods that oh-so-gradually add their pigments to your enamel. Then one day you look in the mirror and find that your healthy-looking grin has been replaced with one that’s darkened, yellowed, or damaged.

At Smiles of Punta Gorda, we can repair blemishes, lift stains, and bring the dazzle back to your smile through the magic of cosmetic dentistry. Call our dental office in Punta Gorda, FL at 941-585-0424 to schedule a consultation.

Your Smile Reflects You

When you meet someone for the first time, you shake their hand, look into their eyes, and smile. Each of these elements matters in making a first impression. If you are embarrassed by the state of your teeth, your instinct will be to hide them — by smiling with your lips closed, covering your mouth, or looking down.

This may make you seem timid, unfriendly, or closed off, which can be harmful to your social life and potentially disastrous to your career.

Improving your smile through carefully selected cosmetic dental procedures will not only boost your confidence, it is a smart investment in your future.

Dental Veneers

A dental veneer is a thin, tooth-colored shell that is placed over the front of a tooth. Popular with actors and other celebrities due to its transformative effects, it makes all sorts of flaws disappear: chips, cracks, stains, craters, gaps, and even slight crookedness and alignment problems. You can get one veneer on a single blemished tooth, or a whole mouthful for a truly showstopping smile.

Traditional veneers are constructed out of porcelain, but we prefer e.max ceramic veneers. These are custom-made for your mouth, stronger, and can be cut thinner for a more lifelike appearance. We may have to remove a small amount of enamel from your tooth before placement to enable the veneers to fit properly. We use anesthesia so you won’t feel a thing! Veneers have the added benefit of strengthening your teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Ridding your grin of stains and discoloration works wonders. It’s an easy way to get a younger, fresher look. At Smiles of Punta Gorda, we offer Opalescence take-home whitening kits. It combines the benefits of a professional product with the convenience of home treatment.

Unlike over-the-counter kits you’ll find at the drugstore, our whitening treatment is effective. It contains a higher concentration of active ingredient and custom-made trays for a comfortable fit and even coverage.

First, we will evaluate your mouth to ensure it’s healthy enough for whitening. We will take impressions and create your mouthguard-like trays. We will send you home with your trays and a supply of whitening gel — the concentration will depend on whether you choose to whiten while you sleep or during the day. You will see fantastic results within a couple of weeks.

Invisalign

Invisalign is the groundbreaking orthodontic system that straightens smiles without brackets, wires, or metal. We will fit you for a series of clear plastic aligners that gradually move your teeth into the desired position. The aligners are comfortable and removable for eating and cleaning. Treatment is typically about a year, much shorter than with conventional orthdontics!

Teeth Contouring

If you’d like to make subtle alterations to the shape or length of a tooth, teeth contouring is an inexpensive and simple procedure that will do just that. The technique involves removing small amounts of enamel to shorten a tooth, make it less pointy, eliminate small overlaps, and correct other minor problems. The process is painless, but we can use anesthesia to ensure you don’t feel a thing.

Tooth Bonding

Tooth bonding fixes many of the same issues as veneers, but is a simpler and less expensive process. We use a tooth-colored composite resin to cover blemishes and discoloration and give your smile a clean, flawless look. The material is simply applied, shaped, and cured with a special light. We will then make final adjustments and polish it so it gleams like your natural teeth.

Gummy Smile

If you are unhappy with the look of your gums — if they are too prominent or out of proportion to your teeth — we can reshape the gumline with minimal invasiveness.

Request a consultation at Smiles of Punta Gorda to learn more about any of our cosmetic dentistry procedures — or how to combine them into a smile makeover. You may reach us online or call our dental office in Punta Gorda, FL at 941-585-0424.

I had an abscessed tooth and they were able to get me in the same day I called. They were personable, professional and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them as your dentist.
