Dr. Jeremy Martin

Dr. Jeremy Martin has been practicing professionally in Punta Gorda since 2002. He became interested in dentistry through the encouragement of his childhood dentist. While in high school, his good friend’s father – a dentist in the Navy – further encouraged Dr. Martin to consider a career in dentistry.

And he did. He went on to graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and the University of Florida College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). He accepted a position as a dental associate in Punta Gorda immediately after graduating.

Today, Dr. Martin and his loyal team continue to provide stellar dental services and the best experience possible for every patient. He and his staff members (many of which have been with him for over a decade) love helping patients improve their smiles through cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry, such as dental implants.

Dr. Martin earned a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and is a Certified Invisalign Provider. He is also a member in good standing of:

  • The Charlotte County Dental Society
  • The West Coast District Dental Association
  • The Florida Dental Association
  • The American Dental Association

In addition to his years of experience, Dr. Martin has engaged in continuing education for dental implants, bone grafting, and occlusion (bite) to provide the most up-to-date and patient-friendly services possible. It is his mission to always offer the highest level of comfort and beneficial treatments for you and your family. He will also work hard to provide swift care should you or a family member experience a dental emergency.

When he’s away from the office, Dr. Martin is spending time with his own family, including his wife, Patti, and two daughters, Corryne and Adrienne – both of whom are excellent softball players. Dr. Martin also likes to stay in action by snowboarding, scuba diving, fishing, and golfing.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Dental implants are a wonderful alternative for treating empty spaces caused by tooth loss or for stabilizing a loose fitting denture. The procedure is virtually painless and is usually completed in 30-45 minutes.

A: Dental implants are a long term permanent solution for tooth loss. In most cases, dental implants offer the best aesthetics and can't be differentiated from your natural teeth.

A: Dental implants are a quick efficient solution to replace a missing tooth. A bridge requires cutting on adjacent healthy tooth structures or removing good crowns to close the space. Research shows a dental bridge has an average life span of 10 years and replacement becomes complicated when a bridge fails. A dental implant, if maintained well, can last a lifetime.

A: Most patients that have had dentures for ten or more years have experienced a change in the way their denture fits and is retained. They will slowly lose bone over time making it difficult to chew on food or speak with their denture. A denture can physically be snapped onto a dental implant allowing for much more proficient speaking, chewing, and confidence in your denture.
